The Trump Administration has launched its latest threat on reproductive rights—and this time, it comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released their draft 2018-2022 Strategic Plan, which states that the goals of HHS are contingent upon “serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception.”
This declaration sets a dangerous precedent for future policies that infringe upon a woman’s constitutional right to bodily autonomy. We need NOW activists to demand that the HHS removes all personhood language by commenting on the HHS Strategic plan here.
