This Spring we are thrilled to welcome Danya & Meghan to the Mass NOW family! They’re both working on our developing our Consciousness Raising toolkit, designed to help Mass NOW members convene feminists in their community to take action on our feminist agenda. Read about Danya & Meghan below and more about the Consciousness Raising series here.
Danya is a graduating senior from the Winsor School in Boston. Next year, she will be taking a gap year where she will study in France on a scholarship from her school and live in Israel for a semester. In the fall of 2021, she will start at Yale University where she hopes to study Global Affairs and Modern Middle Eastern Studies. She is extremely passionate about women’s rights, specifically menstrual equity, and earlier this year she held a period product drive at her school and Jewish youth group. During quarantine, she’s been keeping herself busy by binge watching Love Island and going star gazing.
Meghan is a first year Master of Public Health student at the Boston University School of Public Health where she is focusing her studies on Health Policy and Law and Sex, Sexuality, and Gender. She is extremely passionate about legislative processes and policies surrounding women’s rights, especially reproductive rights. Meghan is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and certified Yoga instructor.
