Dear Mass NOW Community,

Happy Women’s History Month! This month we are celebrating the women that came before us and the women who will continue the legacy of building a stronger feminist future after us. We continue to fight for many of the same things women before us have, and we will not stop until we achieve them all!

In that effort, we are excited to share with you a new initiative we are collaborating on with NOW leaders and activists from around the region. ERA NOW New England is a coalition of feminist individuals and organizations from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont fighting for the adoption of the Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Please join us at our Coalition Kick Off March 26th at 12PM to hear from Kamala Lopez – filmmaker, actress, writer, director, political activist and creator of the award-winning documentary Equal Means Equal, and learn what you can do to finally make the Equal Rights Amendment part of the United States Constitution.

Check out our website ERANowNewEngland.org to see more information on the state of the ERA in Massachusetts, resources, and ways to convene your community to take action to bring the ERA to the finish line.

We’d love for you to join us and become a founding member of ERA New England! Membership is free, and includes access to quarterly coalition meetings, periodic newsletters highlighting action opportunities, and virtual events happening across the region.

Our ancestors began the fight, now help us bring the ERA to the finish line, once and for all!

In solidarity,
Bria Gambrell & Sasha Goodfriend
Mass NOW Directors

Thanks to this new world of virtual organizing we’ve decided to move out our of our office space in downtown Boston and instead invest in growing our team of feminist organizers. We’re looking forward to convening an even larger membership throughout the Commonwealth in virtual community – and in person again one day!
