Dear Mass NOW Family,
Whew, we have been busy with our community! From our testimony writing workshop with Beacon BLOC, to the I AM bill hearing where we heard from some of our AMAZING menstrual activist, we have been busy learning and advocating for feminist liberation!
Thank you for showing up for our 2021 Boston Mayoral Candidate Forum! We had over 160+ people in attendance and we pressed the candidates with hard hitting questions from WBUR reporter Cristela Guerra and from our chat. If you were unable to participate, you can watch the entire forum on our YouTube page and read the coverage in the Boston Globe. This race and every race happening across the Commonwealth are our opportunities to elect leaders who will make the change we seek to see in our communities.
Beyond showing up for municipal races, we also hope you show up in person this Saturday June 12th starting at 10:30AM in Nubain Square for the Trans Resistance March and Vigil. We will be marching for our Black trans community whose lives have been taken from us too soon and at the hands of police and state sanctioned violence. We will be tabling with more information on how to become a Mass NOW member and how to support intersectional feminism across the state. We hope to see you there!
