June Legislative Update

BAGLY’s MA Youth Pride 2025 at City Hall, which Mass NOW proudly tabled at!

As we approach the end of June, we reflect on a powerful first six months of the 194th Legislative Session. We’ve expanded our legislative agenda to include 119 intersectional feminist Bills, submitted original written testimony for over 25 Bills, and testified in-person. We’ve already seen the success of our efforts– even at this early stage, three of our endorsed Bills have already been reported favorably out of committee and are waiting to be brought to the floor for a vote.

We’re excited to spotlight two of our priority bills: the I AM Bill and the Menstrual Product Ingredient Disclosure Bill, both of which had hearings earlier this month.

Thanks to your advocacy, we mobilized 17 individual testimonies and secured support from 41 organizations to co-sign testimony in favor of these bills. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who spoke up and showed up.

We’re thrilled to share that the Senate version of both bills were voted out favorably and sent to the Senate Ways and Means Committee!

It’s not too late to take action — check out our action alerts for the I AM Bill and the Ingredient Disclosure Bill. You can still submit testimony and help move these critical policies forward!

Mass NOW Team Testifying for the I AM Bill and the Ingredient Disclosure Bill

While we’re taking stock of our progress thus far this session, we urge you to take action– no headway could be made without you, our dedicated activists and allies! By submitting individual testimony, showing up to events, and reaching out to your legislators about the causes important to you, you’re helping create a more just, equitable, and feminist future!
