We’re hiring Menstrual Equity Regional Community Organizers

We have a vision for a world where menstrual products are considered a basic necessity and are available in all bathrooms, just like toilet paper. That's why we're partnering with community organizations, schools, state agencies and local governments to distribute all kinds of free menstrual products.

Our goaI is not just to end period poverty and make period products free and available. Our goal is menstrual equity: we want people not just to have free products - but to have choice about what products they use. We want everyone to have menstruation education so they can make informed decisions about their menstrual health.

In 2022 we hired two educators to work with our partners to give menstrual health workshops and attend resource fairs. In 2023 we hired ten educators and launched a train the trainer program and in 2024 we're hiring 6 Community Organizers to deepen our work in the following regions: Cape Cod & Islands, South Shore, South Coast, Greater Boston, Somerville and Worcester - and hiring 6 local organizers for the Fall River / New Bedford area. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The Menstrual Equity Organizers will work to:

  • Strengthen a network of organizations with missions to expand access to free menstrual products, comprehensive reproductive health education, and health/support services.
  • Facilitate menstruation education workshops
  • Attend resource fairs to table and share menstruation education
  • Mobilize participants to advocate for more equitable policies that support the rights of Menstruators in Massachusetts.
  • Empower a generation of youth to be agents of change in their communities

Successful Organizers have:

  • Strong interest in menstrual equity, intersectional feminism and public health
  • Experience in public speaking and facilitation is a strong plus
  • Lived experience in the region
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Organizers are expected to work 20 hours a month. Hours are flexible, but must be reported via monthly invoices.

Compensation: $500 monthly stipend to be paid in quarterly increments.
